Inclusion Program

Fairview has become well-known for its successful Inclusion Program over the past several years. Our students with special needs have been fully included in regular classrooms since 1990.

Fairview’s Special Education services are provided in inclusion classrooms. Emotionally Disabled; Learning Disability; Other Heath Impairments; Mildly Mentally Disabled ; Autism ; Hearing Impaired with identified learning/emotional needs are served in their age appropriate classrooms. The special education teacher collaborates and team teaches with general education teachers to meet the goals and objectives of each student. Accommodations are made as necessary for special needs students through this collaboration. Classroom teachers provide enrichment opportunities for Accelerated Learning Program students in the classroom setting.

With all teachers and students working together, we feel that everyone benefits from a program such as ours.
